2020 Keynote Speaker
The Positive Coaching Alliance-Portland is proud to announce Greg Patton as this year's Keynote Speaker. Coach Greg Patton’s collegiate coaching career spanned 41 years at UC Santa Barbara, UC Irvine and Boise State University. He retired as the winningest active collegiate coach with 808 victories which placed him fourth in the history of collegiate tennis.
Coach Patton is the only NCAA Coach to receive the NCAA Division I Coach of the Year Award at two different schools (UC Irvine and Boise State University in 1987 and 1997).
2020 Excellence in Leadership Award Recipient
Jack Dunn is a sports legend in Oregon! His leadership in baseball paved the way for several youth baseball players across the Portland area and the state of Oregon. Jack’s leadership was not just about baseball, it was about teaching his players values, strong character and becoming contributing citizens in their communities as they grew up.
My coach said, ‘Take what I give you, improve on it and pass it on,’ (Clopton). We are thrilled to recognize Jack Dunn as our 2020 PCA Excellence in Leadership Award Winner.
2020 Community Impact Award Recipient
The Maurice Lucas Foundation is receiving the PCA-Portland 2020 Community Impact Award for their service to the Portland community and using sports as a vehicle for youth development.
The foundation's primary mission is to empower youth to learn, grow and achieve through positive sport activities. The foundation provides opportunities around the Portland area where activities don’t readily exist. Maurie was passionate about giving back to his community and he lived that out every day.
We are honored to recognize the Maurice Lucas Foundation for their continued contributions to Portland’s youth and the development of character through positive sport-based activities.
MEET THE SIX 2019 TRIPLE-IMPACT COMPETITOR® SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
The Positive Coaching Alliance-Portland is proud to award six Oregon high school seniors a $1000 college scholarship. Each student receives this award recognizing them as a Triple-Impact Competitor®. One who makes positive contributions on three levels: Makes oneself better (Personal Mastery); Makes teammates better (Leadership); and Makes the sport better (Honoring the Game).
Funds raised through this event provide PCA-Portland with the resources it needs to continue its important work in our region. Last year we reached over 47,500 athletes and over 3,000 coaches. Please join us for a fun night to celebrate these athletes along with helping to support the work of PCA-PORTLAND.
